Customer Rating: Summary: works fine Comment: Works fine. Only annoyance is that the tape does peel paint off painted wood frames, even newer paint, so be careful.
Customer Rating: Summary: Henkel 00-09122 Comment: I read all instructions and followed them, and I was able to put the film up, but it kept unsticking from the tape; this was frustrating. It was amazing to see the "small" drafts blowing the cling toward me, like a huge bubble. I decided to move ahead, even though I was convinced I did not put it up right since it kept unsticking and wrinkling. Once I took the hair dryer to it, the change was amazing. The cling shrank and it seemed to seal itself better to the tape, thank goodness. It stayed up over night, and I really think I can tell a difference. So far, so good. Warning: beware of blowing it too long. The part you use to lift the window sticks out further than the frame (on my windows anyway), so the corners of it almost punctured the cling.
Customer Rating: Summary: Worthless Comment: This product is absolutely worthless. The tape did not stick to either the window or even the plastic! Every time you tried to pull the plastic towards the side or bottom of the window, one of the sides already applied would pull off. And don't tell me I was using too small a piece. I had plenty of slack around the window. I ended up having to put scotch tape around the perimeter of the plastic just to make it stay. I had read some reviews on the 3M product, but could only find the Duck Brand. After attempting to install it last night with absolutely no luck, I came to read the reviews here to see what others thought.
Too often I suspect the Company itself peppers in rosy reviews for the product. I can't imagine who the person is who can make this product work as it claims. For those who have had the same problem as I did, don't get sucked into the "you should have read the instructions first" admonition...as though its an operator problem. Bottom line, this product DOES NOT WORK.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good but could use some improvements Comment: Don't get me wrong, I do believe these work. They can be a bit frustrating to install however. The plastic is tough and resists tearing however I found it a bit difficult to cut. And somehow I wish the company would mark cutting lines on the plastic that would go away with heat.
Once I got the plastic up and applied the heat, these looked great and did what they advertised. I just believe you have to have the patience of a saint to be able to install more than 2 windows at a time.
Customer Rating: Summary: Stay warm and save energy Comment: Stay warm and save energy, this product is easy to apply with plenty of tape for multiple windows. This product works great for odd sized windows, because it is one sheet of plastic that you cut to size.
